Michael is celebrating a major win for families in Worsley & Eccles, as the Labour Government has rolled out free daily breakfast clubs in a select number of early-adopter primary schools – a key policy aimed at boosting children’s learning and wellbeing, while supporting busy parents.
“Every parent knows how important a good start to the day is,” Michael says. “That’s why I’m so pleased Labour is delivering this vital support for families across our community.”
Three local schools – St Joseph the Worker in Irlam, St Stephen’s in Astley, and New Park Academy in Patricroft – are among the first in the country to launch these new breakfast clubs, as part of the initial phase of the national programme.
Michael says he’s excited to see the programme progress and looks forward to visiting local schools to see the impact firsthand. “This is a huge step forward in giving every child the best start to their day – and delivering real, practical support for families in Worsley & Eccles.”
